Proposal

My proposal for the group photo is to have my brother and his friends all standing together. The way they are all linked is that they all ride and do jumps on their bikes. The way I was thinking of taking the photo was to have a bike in the background (and out of focus) the four riders placed in different places in the frame; I would properly get them to hold their helmets in one hand. They built a dirt jump out in the bush so I will try and get them to cover their face in dirt because that is what happens after a few jumps – it would also add more dramatic effect to the photo.

The idea that I have for my self portrait is to make I look like I am swimming inside. This will hopefully be achieved with the use of pros such as a vase, goggles and water being poured on top of me (before the photo is taken). This portrait will only be a head and shoulder. If I have the vase on a table then I am further back with the goggles on and holding my breath, in-between me and the vase have a lage soft box shinning down with a reflector if needed.

The concept that I have come up with for the magazine cover is a photo that I found on the back cover of “Communication Arts”. It is a full body photograph of a person with 100’s of table tennis balls over the persons face, of different colours (white and orange). This will be achieved by having fishing line taped to the table tennis balls. The thinner the fishing line the less likely that it will be seen, by the viewer. This photo will hopefully will look a bit mysterious because you’re not sure if the sitter is going to be able to move out of the way in time, or if they are going to land on their head.
